WHO'S CRYING OVER SPILLED MILK????

It started as an ordinary morning shopping at Walmart.... Yes our new super walmart has an escalator. I wanted to just run in QUICK for a few things.... Chocolate milk, bread, book, cheese..... you get the picture. Everything was going fine until we were leaving the store. Cassie loves riding on the escalator and she also loves helping carry things. She choose the Chocolate milk this time. (I know.... what was i thinking) We were trying to carry it together but she is all about doing everything herself these days (except for using the potty) any way things were going fine until i thought she was going to take a step down on the escalator and I started to pull her back up. Well she lost her grip on the milk and it hit the step, punctured, bounced in the air and hit the lady down from us square on the back. She was PISSED! she was dressed to kill in a gorgeous suit and high heel boots. She started screaming "do you know how much it's going to cost to have this cleaned?" I was trying NOT to laugh and offered to pay for the cleaning while handing her some wet wipes (she didn't want them). She looked at Cassie and I (I was dressed in baggy sweatpants and sweatshirt) and said NO.... I think you need the money more than i do and she stomped off. WELL.... who does she think she is?

OFF TO THE ZOO..... AND THEN SKATING

Cassie and I (well mostly me since it was a secret) decided since it was such a beautiful fall day we were going to the zoo, the Henry Vilas Zoo.

http://www.vilaszoo.org/ this is a FREE Zoo in Madison.... and it's great. All of the buildings were open except for the concessions and the the new carousal. Cassie saw Rhino, giraffe, bears, lions, monkeys, alligator...... the list goes on and on. she also was able to play on the new Tree House slide and climber. We had a really fun day..... of course she had to tell Caleb and Catlin all about it as soon as they got home from school..... even though they are 11 & 12 they were less than pleased that we decided to do something without them, Cassie didn't seem to mind at all and just went on talking about her day to anyone who would or wouldn't listen.

After out fun filled day at the zoo Cassie had ice skating... her teachers are very pleased with how she is doing and think that she will move up to the next class in a few more sessions. She can now get up herself when she falls, she can turn in a circle, she can march on the ice, she just needs to work on her glide and then she will be good to go!

We had a pretty fun/busy weekend.....The kids went Trick or Treating on Friday. Caleb had hockey practice first and then decided he didn't want to come with his mom and sisters so he opted to go with friends. (WHY?) Catlin had a friend come with her and Cassie. I thought for sure that Cassie would be scared, because everything has been TOOOOO SCARY lately, but she had a great time once she realized people were just going to GIVE her Candy!

Before the Trick or Treating the Girls and I went with another friend to Bounce U...http://www.bounceu.com/?gclid=CMjhz46y2ZYCFQukHgodGxa42w(Caleb opted to stay home and sleep) WHY? We had a really good time. I raced Catlin and her friend Taylor through the obstacle course and WON!!!! I was really sore after that, but i couldn't let them beat me.

We had a weekend filled with soccer and hockey again. Catlin's team skated between periods at the Women's Wisconsin Badger hockey game and then she had her own game later that day, and the next. Caleb also played 2 games this weekend.... their game on Sunday was against Rockford, IL..... very rough, but so far Caleb has only gotten 1 penalty this season and it was just a coincidental penalty.

Well Cassie is calling (yelling) so I'd better go because if I don't you should see the things she does.... yes i have pictures of the last time and i will post them soon!

We haven't been doing to much... the girls and I went looking for Halloween costumes. Cassie thought everything was TOOOO SCARY! We did manage to get her to try on some hats. I finally found a costume for Cass at Old Navy.... I will post that later!

Caleb, Catlin and I went with another friend to a Haunted Barn/Forest over the weekend. I think I enjoyed watching Caleb and Catlin cry, scream and run more than anything! I must admit parts were Scary..... like the Big Headed Man following you threw the forest, the chain saw guy and the bus you had to walk through with the driver just sitting up there staring at you in the rear view mirror. This is where Catlin had her breakdown, she didn't want to get ON the bus and then when she saw him she wouldn't get OFF the bus.... she was crying and screaming and of course when the bus driver saw how scared she was he stood up and blocked the exit of the bus 1/2 way.... i had to drag her off. Caleb then saw a little girl behind bars screaming to help her and let her out of the cage... he took off screaming and running, fell and then came sauntering back to me like nothing was wrong.... who is he kidding.... Hockey and Soccer are both in full swing now and the days are just crazy busy.... Catlin has a soccer tournament this weekend and Caleb has 2 games and they both have hockey practice. Cassie has ice skating tonight.... she's getting pretty good!

Caleb and Catlin's Middle School have a Fun Run every year, they have guest speaker's from the University of Wisconsin come and talk about fitness and of course Bucky Badger always makes an appearance. We live right down the road from the school so the whole school runs by our house, of course Cassie and I have to stand out at the edge of the driveway and cheer (embarrass) on Caleb and Catlin.

Cassie has her 3rd session of skating tonight and Caleb has the beginning of Hockey tryouts...... Catlin gets a night off!

SOCCER SOCCER AND MORE SOCCER

We spent the entire weekend at soccer. Caleb had a tournament so he played 1 game on Friday 1 game on Saturday and 2 games on Sunday. Catlin had her 1st game of the season on Sunday. They won 1-0 Catlin scored the goal for her team. GO CATLIN!!!!

Caleb's team made it to the championship and they placed 2nd in the tournament. GO CALEB!!!!

Cassie..... well she was cheering on the sideline as usual, she didn't run away as much this weekend as she has in the past.... maybe turning 3 has brought on a more mature stage......hahahahaha that even makes me laugh! here are some more pictures of Caleb's game, i don't have any of Catlin because Sony was not giving out cameras to use at her game.

Caleb had his first game of his tournament Friday night. They won 7-0. Sony had a big tent set up and was handing out sports cameras for parents to take pictures of their team during the game. They were really nice cameras. These are some of the pictures Tom and I attempted to take during the game. They transferred them on to a disc after we returned the camera. We checked one out during today's game also but we wont get those pictures until tomorrow, I'll post them later and we'll see if we improved any in the picture taking dept.

Another Day....... Another Mess

Oh what a morning, I've received one phone call after another, of course NONE of them were concerning a job for me.... I am so ready to go back to work.... doing anything.

Anyway, Cassie was sitting so nice on the couch watching chicken run that I thought I could sneak in and take a shower ALONE, usually we end up taking something called a shower/bath... part shower part bath. Well i tiptoed in and left the door slightly open so that i could peek out and see her on the couch. All was going well until I heard the bathroom door slam shut, i still had shampoo in my hair so i couldn't just jump right out. I was in there maybe a total of 5 minutes and this is the mess i came out to find.

some people in our household (not going to mention names) wonder what i do all day....... well this is part of it! Well i gotta get going.... 3 kids to take to the DR for physicals and shots.... it's payback time.

Soccer, Big Red and Vacation

Soccer is back in full swing, Caleb had his first tournament last week and has another one this weekend. Catlin has her first game this Sunday.
We were able to fit in one last vacation to visit family in Michigan and Ontario before school starts. We had a really great time, it's hard being so far away from everyone.
Caleb got in some great fishing on lake Huron while Catlin and Cassie took advantage of the warm weather and great beach.
Now were back and it's time for school to start.......... goodbye to summer for another year!

Another busy week and weekend...... Catlin had a hockey tournament in Blaine MN, the AAA International Cup. Catlin is on a U10 team and they placed 3rd in their division. They had a total of 5 games. Cassie came with us and explored the rink from top to bottom. We ate at a restaurant called "Space Aliens" it's kind of like a chuckey cheese but with aliens all over, including a 6ft alien that walks around. Cassie saw him and was scared to death, this was the first time she ever wanted to stay right with us and not run away..... so every time she tried to run away later I would tell her the Alien was coming and she would run right back to me..... I'm sure super nanny would not approve of this type of parenting but maybe she's never had to keep track of a 2yr old in a hockey rink that has over 6 sheets of ice in one building.

Courtney is supposed to be getting her license on saturday..... Can't wait for that

Caleb spent the week with his grandparents in Indiana.... lots of fishing. Now it's time to get back into the usual routine and prepare for school and soccer to start!

OMG........ that's all i can say..... I was the lucky one who got to drive Caleb 35 minutes (one way) to soccer practice tonight.... i also was the lucky one who got to have Cassie. Caleb and i were about 30 minutes early (i guess i drive faster than Tom) so we thought we would look around at Barnes and Noble book store. Cassie was really great at the beginning, she was playing with the Thomas Train and looking at books and saying Hi to people. she was acting really cute. Then it was time to leave, i even gave her notice that we would be leaving soon (she is only 2) I took her by the hand when it was time to go and Said "its time to take Caleb to soccer" she made herself stiff and wouldnt get off the floor and kept saying NONONONONONONONONON. So I picked her up and the screaming began.... I'm talking ear piercing screaming... bone chilling screaming.... i really wanted to put my hand over her mouth, but i didn't. Then the kicking and biting (i never had a biter before) I have bite marks on my shoulder and wrist. I pried her mouth from my arm and the scratching began.... i have claw marks on both sides of my neck and on the back of my hand. I had to walk clear thru the store with this enraged monster.
I got her outside... poor Caleb i couldn't even wait for him..... but he heard the screams and new where to go. We got outside and Caleb said..... Well that was interesting.
I look like i was in some sort of cat fight, plus it hurts like HELL......

Our weekend started with Caleb's soccer tournament on Friday night. They won and then played again on Sat. morning 9am and Catlin had a soccer game at 11:00. I thought we would be done for the day, but Caleb ended up hurting his arm/wrist in the first game and we spent the majority of the afternoon in Urgent care.... no broken bones, just swelling and a sprain. Caleb won his game, Catlin lost her game... Cassie came along to both and cheered for her brother and sister.

Caleb played again Sunday at 12pm and since they won that game they played again at 3pm for the championship. They lost and came in 2nd in the tournament. Cassie handled the day pretty well, she finally crashed on the way home. Tom left after we got home, he plays hockey tonight. I think I'm gonna call it a day like Cassie

wow the summer went so fast, I don't think i've been on here once. I'm not very good at it.

Our summer was soooo busy, it started out with Catlin going to a week long hockey camp in northern Wisconsin. Followed by going on a week long vacation with my parents to Northern Wisconsin. Followed by Caleb going to a week long soccer camp in Madison, to Catlin turning 10 and a trip to the dane county fair. Catlin going to Cedar point in Ohio, I know they spent another week with my parents in Indiana at some point. Caleb was also in a summer hockey league, they played 2 days a week thru the summer. Caleb and Catlin spent a week with grandparents in Ontario, then Me Tom and Cassie drove to Ontario. We met Toms dad and the boys went on further North into Canada for a fishing trip. I drove on to Kincardine to Joan's house (toms mom) Me Catlin and Cassie and Joan spent a few days in London, Ontario shopping and going to story book gardens. When the boys came back we spent time in kincardine. We went to the beach (they live along lake Huron) watched the bag pipe band. Oh i forgot my parents and my aunt and uncle also were there for one night. We watched the bag pipe band together.

While we were away out neighbors informed us that Sun prairie had 15" of rain in a 3 day period. Our streets were flooded and many homes had major water damage. we were lucky and just had some water in our unfinished part of the basement. sure glad our neighbors were watching out for us. The last of summer ended with Cassie turning the BIG 2 and a trip to the Milwaukee zoo.

Caleb has already had his first soccer game and he will have his first tournament this weekend, Catlin has her first game tomorrow......... Hockey tryouts start in October, before soccer even ends.......let the games BEGIN

I know this was just a bunch of ramblings, but it's hard for me to think with Cassie pulling me out of the chair every other minute, she's eating cat food and trying to wash dishes and put her own movie in and now she can open doors, so she was very mad when i made her come back in. How did i manage with Caleb and Catlin being 18 months apart? Oh yeh........ I had my MOM close to me!!!!!!!!

Big mess, no respect and lots of water

My day started off pretty well, nothing major happened throughout the morning. Cassie and i worked on getting windows cleaned, while i cleaned she played in a bucket of water soaking the carpet, spilled chocolate pudding, took off her poopy diaper and tried to wipe herself with a clean shirt she took out of her dresser. Now if your name was Tom and i told you this happenned the first question he would ask is "And where were you when all this was occurring?" Well of course i was washing the flippin windows he asked me to do. It was nap time shortly after i got the mess cleaned up.

I had a friend stop over with her two kids and she stayed at my house while i ran to pick up my kids from school. Anyone who knows my son Caleb knows he doesnt deal well with transition times. He came home and started in on his homework for a class he has at 4:15, it was 3:15 at the time and it should have been finished last week. He was getting very frustrated by the noise. (he could have went to his room and worked) but he chose to blurt out very loudly "Geez why does everyone have to be so loud and why do we always have to have people at our house" I was in total shock that my son could be so rude, all i could think of at the time was to send him to his room. I'm still thinking of the punishment i am going to give him. of course he will apologize to my friend, but i'm also thinking of making him write an essay on RESPECT.

After that incident and supper the girls and I watered the flowers, they are such good helpers. You can tell by the first picture that cassie like to drown the flowers.

No Rest for the Weary

The fun of the busy weekend started Friday night. Caleb had soccer tryouts for next season and Catlin was invited to watch the opening of Shrek, Cassie and I just stayed at home... had a walk, bath, snack, play time with Angelica, and finally bed. Catlin's friend called and said they were almost to our house and asked if we could just open the door so that they wouldn't wake Cassie... (our dog barks alot) so i went to open the front door and this 6 foot donkey greeted me. Our family NEVER wins anything but of course the first time we do, this is what we get. Tom says it's going out for garbage tomorrow Catlin has a different idea, i'm sure it will be hidden (somehow) in her bedroom.

Saturday came pretty early, Caleb had a track meet to start the morning off. He was in the long jump, 100 and 200... i couldn't get very good pictures, i'll just blame it on the camera, i'm sure it wasn't the photographer. I did get some pictures of Cassie and Catlin playing on a big mound of dirt. After the track meet we went to Wendy's for lunch... Cassie wouldn't sit in her chair and just wanted to run all over, so i took her and left to put her down for a nap. She had a short nap because it was time for Caleb's soccer game. I didn't get ANY pictures of that because i left my camera on by mistake and the batteries were dead. After the soccer game my family was going to take me out to eat to this seafood restaurant that we like. I should have know that cassie wouldn't sit still. She screamed when i put her in the high chair so i tried holding her. She bit me on the shoulder so hard i wanted to scream. I tried a big girl chair, she threw her chocolate milk on the floor. (yes she really threw it) Did i mention it was also prom night and the restaurant was filled with teenagers in fancy dresses, yes the chocolate milk splattered all over a girl behind us. Normally i would say something to the person, this time i did not.... i just grabbed my child and left while the rest of my family sat there casually eating their dinner. Cassie had a timeout in the car seat. Tom came out to get me 20 minutes later saying i could go back and eat. Oh YUMMY COLD FOOD for my birthday dinner. I just went in got a box, paid and left. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOM!!!!! When we got home i hearded 3 kids thru the bath and put cassie to bed.... Tom went to the club to run, it figures

Today is just starting... i sent the family to church without me, later we have soccer and it starts all over again.

Good Morning MOM

Today i was awakened with a HUGE spider above my head and shrill screams. The screams were coming from me. My mother taught me at a very young age to be terrified of spiders. I screeched for caleb to come and help me. He came down and took one look at the spider and ran upstairs mumbling sorry mom. I guess i also taught him at a young age to be scared of spiders. I slithered out of bed and ran upstairs to get the sweeper, of course the spider was gone when i came back. So now i get to tiptoe around my bedroom all day.

The second panic of the morning was my kids realizing that today is CRAZY HAIR DAY.... why schools have to do this is beyond me, do they just want to torture the parents? Catlin spent 15 minutes straigtening her hair and then called for Caleb to put her purple highlites in, of course Caleb is NOT going to stop at just highlites on his sisters head. (what was she thinking) she came running to me in tears saying "just look at the back of my head, it's all purple" now i could hardly see the purple, plus isn't it suppose to be crazy hair day...... no it's suppose to be torture the parents day. I'll have to get pictures when they get home, Caleb is going to a friends to torture his parents with the hair spray paint and catlin is still crying.

My Life

As i'm writing this cassie is climbing all over my head and back while strangling and kissing me. I'm used to this as it occurs everyday and i've had 3 other children do the same to me over the past 15 years, just at various stages.... i would hate to have my 15 year old climb on my back and try to strangle and kiss me, but cassie being a year old is still ok. since i've started this post i've had to leave many times. once to get cassie out of the toilet, once to get the dog out of the locked bathroom, once to answer the phone, (tom asking me if was going to be able to make it to the grocery today... WHO CARES) once to get more coffee, once to see what the UH OH was (just cassie dumping a box of cereal) once to start "barney" over and while i was staring barney over cassie jumped up in the computer chair and now i'm just sitting here thinking.... what in the hell was it that i was going to write about. Well since i can't remember, although i'm sure it was something about my annul husband who's name is TOM although i did ask him if he could change his name to RICHARD so i could call him DICK and not feel quite as bad. ok i have no clue where this is going, but i'm going to the grocery for DICK

This is my oldest courtney, i don't know what she is doing or where she is. (looks like a bathroom) She is so frustrating, but i love her with all my heart. She will be learning to drive this summer, so look out if you are on the road. She also set fire to the house recently because there was a birds nest on top of the light outside. This is just one of many things that happen to her on a daily basis.
